In reply to Todd. There wasn't any snow, but it was quite chilly! It was around the low 40s, but I was fine with a warm jacket, hat and scarf.

We are looking forward to this trip in November. Great to read your experience! It will be a little unusual for a river cruise as we are doing it with 3 generations. We’ve also done just the girls 3 generations to Petaluma as we are from Northern CA as well. Cheers!

I was so happy to read about Basel. We were in Basel last year, in December and and it is such a beautiful magnificent place! I already miss it. I think it is the first time in my life that a cruise sounds a good idea! :-) Thank you.

In reply to Donna Bilarczyk. We had some friends who just went too and absolutely loved it! My husband and I are actually doing another Viking River Cruise in a couple of months, this time to the South of France! Have a wonderful time and have a glass (or 2) of Glühwein for me!
