96. Learn Your Love Language
One of the things that you will learn as a couple is expressing your love to each other. Are you the type who hugs and kisses your sweetheart every chance you get or are you someone who spends quality time with them, giving your undivided attention? Or maybe you are someone who likes giving thoughtful gifts?
Whatever that may be, discovering your (and your partner’s) love language will help to understand how the two of you give and receive affection to each other and improve your relationship even more.
Here’s a couple places to learn your love language:
97. Move In Together
Moving in together is another relationship milestone that you and your boyfriend or girlfriend might get into in the future.
While the idea of being together in the same place may sound exciting, it is equally important to talk with each other first on this next step in your relationship.
Here is a great article that lays out some tips and things you and your partner might want to consider before you move together.
98. Start a Couple’s Blog
If you or your SO have a knack for writing or telling stories, you might want to consider starting a couples blog. Not only is this a fantastic creative outlet, but working on a shared project and passion is a great way to bond and strengthen your relationship even further.
One of the perks of a couples blog is that both of you can put in different perspectives about a topic you are passionate about, like traveling or food. And did I mention that it can also be a potential source of income?
PS: If you decide to start a blog, then read my articles: Become a Blogger: How to Start a Successful Blog in 6 Easy Steps and How to Make Money Blogging: 7 Ways to Monetize. But, also make sure to know the top beginner blogging mistakes to avoid (& how to fix them).
99. Sleep in a Castle
What little, or big, girl doesn’t dream of being a princess at some point in their life? Images of wearing a spectacular puffy pink gown, expertly dancing at a ball with the most handsome man and being the center of everyone’s attention.
Even though you are not born into royalty, you can always spend the night in a castle with your prince. A perfect evening fit for our Couples Bucket List.
100. Surprise Your Partner
If you’re married or living with your sweetheart, you know how tough it can be to avoid falling into a routine. But surprising your partner opens up the chance to do something different, even if it is not your anniversary, like maybe making one of their bucket list wishes come true!
101. Take A Brewery Tour
You don’t need the sun to enjoy a cold local brew, it’s a fun thing to do on a rainy day too, especially with your partner! Most of them also provide behind-the-scenes tours, so you can spend an afternoon learning all about how they make beer while enjoying a pint or two of beer.
102. Say “I Love You”
Aside from expressing our love to our partner through actions, like say, holding their hand or giving them a million kisses, saying I love you to them reinforces those feelings and actions. If you want to get creative, you can even say I love you in a different language!
103. Find a New Hobby to Do Together
This way you can both get out of your comfort zones and bond over trying to learn something new together. Your new hobby can be as practical or as out there as you both seem fit.
If you don’t know where to start in choosing one, then head over to our Hobbies Bucket List: 100+ Most Popular Types to Try.
104. Take Cooking Class
Much like cooking dinner together at home, taking a cooking class is a great bonding thing to do for couples, with a delicious reward waiting for you at its end. Pick a theme together for what type of food and cuisine you want to try, book your space in advance, and get ready for an evening of giggles.
105. Try New Food
A super easy way to add some spice into your relationship – quite possibly literally so – is by discovering a new restaurant or cuisine together. You may even want to make a thing out of finding a new place or type of food to eat each time you go out on a dinner date together.
Or if your adventurous eaters check out our Weird Food Bucket List that has plenty of unique things to try!
106. Visit a Different Country
Traveling to a new place within the country is great, but traveling to a different country brings the whole experience up a notch. Plus, getting to experience new things with your sweetheart is a big plus in strengthening your relationship!
Being in a different country helps you become more open-minded about your cultural differences. It also opens you to unique adventures and attractions, like eating staying in a Bedouin camp in Jordan’s Wadi Rum desert or hiking the classic Inca trail to Machu Picchu.
107. Visit The Place You Had Your First Kiss
Do you still remember where you shared that first kiss together? Maybe it was in the park, in the movies, or even while hanging out. Regardless, there’s nothing more romantic than going back to that special place and reminiscing!
108. Take on a DIY Home Project
Whether its decorating the living room or making a garden bed, a DIY home project is a popular couples activity that allows you to work together towards a common goal.
109. Have a Fondue Night
Fondue is a Swiss and French Savoyard dish that features melted cheese over a portable stove. If you want sweet rather than savory, you can go for chocolate fondue that has sweet tidbits of fruits and pastries. Sounds heavenly, doesn’t it?
This is a delicious recipe for fondue that I brought all the way back from Switzerland. And here’s the cutest red fondue pot or for something even easier, an electric one!
110. Share a Milkshake
Sharing a delicious milkshake with your sweetheart is probably something most (if not all) couples have done before. To spice things up a bit, you can try hunting and sharing the best milkshake you can find in your state. Or, if you want to add a personal touch to it, you can also make one at home using the recipes below.
111. Have a Fancy Night on the Town
Whether you’re partying at a trendy club or going to a 5-star dinner, dressing up for a night on town is one way to get out of your comfy t-shirt and jeans!
112. Bake Together
Baking requires patience and the exact measurements of ingredients for the finished product to turn out perfectly—just like your relationship! The best part is that you get to eat your baked goods afterwards.
113. Watch Each Others Favorite Movie
Sure, you and your partner might have different tastes when it comes to movies, but that is what’s great about it: you’ll get to discover something new about each other through your favorite flicks! Whether you’ll love the movie or not, simple gestures and efforts like this are romantic in their own way.
114. Create Your Couple’s Travel Bucket List
While you may already have your own couples bucket list, having one dedicated to traveling is a great way to keep track of new adventures, places, cuisine, or anything that you want to experience together that falls under this category!
115. Stay in a Cabin in the Woods
Whether you’re both the adventurous type or simply looking for a cozy and quiet getaway, staying at a cabin surrounded by nature is the perfect place to be.
From going on a river adventure to relaxing by the fire to enjoying the scenic views, you’ll never run out of things to do as a couple!
116. Catch a Sports Game
Watching a sports game together is a fun activity for couples because it can combine two things you love: quality time and sharing your passion for an action-packed game. Whether it’s basketball, soccer, or good old American football, you can catch a game live at a stadium or settle for shouting at your home television screen.
117. Head to a Museum
Going to a museum with your boyfriend, girlfriend or significant other can be a really fun time if you choose the right one. It’s great exploring the wonders of art, history, and culture, but, all museums don’t have to be historical or artsy. You can find some pretty unique ones out there too! For example, I’ve been to a quirky umbrella cover museum on Maine’s Peak Island, and also a 3-D one in Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh where we got to take selfies in a dozen different vignettes.
118. Meditate together
Meditating together can be a super peaceful and zen date night idea. Picture this: you and your partner sitting cross-legged, eyes closed, taking deep breaths and letting go of all the stress and worries. It’s a chance to escape the chaos of everyday life and find some inner peace together. Namaste, lovebirds!
119. Plan the Ultimate Staycation
Instead of dealing with the stress of traveling to a faraway location, opt to plan a staycation where you visit attractions and do cool activities close to home. You can try out new restaurants, visit local tourist spots, indulge in spa treatments, or simply take time to unwind and enjoy leisure activities at home. Try setting up a cozy movie night with tons of snacks and a blanket fort, or have a DIY spa day with face masks and massages. You can even whip up some delicious homemade meals together, trying out new recipes and laughing at kitchen mishaps.
120. Reorganize a Room in Your House
Working together to transform a space allows you to unleash your creativity and showcase your shared vision. Picture this: you both put on your comfiest clothes, crank up the music, and dive headfirst into a decluttering and redesign adventure. It’s a chance to unleash your inner interior designers, brainstorming creative ways to maximize space and make the room feel like a cozy haven.
121. Write Songs for Each Other
Writing songs for your partner can be a super romantic (and potentially hilarious) way to express your feelings in a totally unique way. Whether you’re a musical maestro or simply strumming a few chords on a guitar, you can create a heartfelt melody that will make their heart swoon. Remember when writing your tune, it is all about capturing those inside jokes, sweet moments, and quirks that make your relationship special.
122. Design a Coffee Table Book
Designing a coffee table book filled with photos of your relationship is like creating a special visual love story that you can cherish forever. With platforms like Shutterfly, you can easily bring your vision to life by choosing layouts, adding captions, and customizing every detail. From that adorable first date selfie to the epic vacation snapshots, you can curate a collection of your favorite moments together.
123. Have a Pottery Night
Making pottery and trying out wheel throwing together as a couple can be an incredibly fun and romantic experience! Imagine channeling your inner Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze in that iconic pottery scene from the movie Ghost. You can both get your hands dirty, shaping and molding clay into beautiful works of art. It’s a chance to unleash your creativity, laugh at the inevitable clay mishaps, and create something unique together.
124. Go Indoor Rock Climbing
If you and your partner are an adventurous duo, indoor rock climbing is an activity you’re bound to love! Scaling towering walls and cheering each other on as you conquer new heights is quite a bonding experience. Whether you’re newbies or seasoned climbers, indoor rock climbing offers a unique blend of excitement and teamwork.
125. Have a Deep Conversation About Life
Having a deep conversation about life with your significant other can be incredibly meaningful, and even transformative. It’s like diving into the depths of your souls, sharing your dreams, fears, and philosophies on the universe over a cozy cup of coffee or a late-night walk. You can explore topics like the meaning of life, your passions, what makes you truly happy, and your aspirations for the future. Dive into discussions about personal growth, relationships, and even the challenges you’ve faced.
These conversations create a space for vulnerability, understanding, and connection that goes beyond the surface level.
In reality, a romantic relationship may not always mirror the picture-perfect unions you see in popular movies. However, it possesses the potential to become a thrilling journey, enriched with enjoyable couple activities, intimate date nights, meaningful connections, and fun escapades that strengthen the bond between two individuals.
The key lies in deliberately creating these experiences. These things to do as a couple ideas are sure to elevate your relationship and take your shared adventures to a different level. So, grab hold of this list and see how many items you can check off.

Thanks! You are more than welcome to post this list on your site as a “guest post”. I would just need a teensy-weensy credit and link to my blog. I think it would be great, let me know.
These are great ideas. Everyone needs to break out of a relationship "rut" every now and then and these would be perfect! I've done 7 of these, if carving our names into wood at a bar (we were allowed) counts for carving our names into a tree!
Wow! Seven is really good! 10 more to go ;)

I'm surprised at how many things we've done already! Great list…

I'm thinking of buying dancing lessons for Xmas for my hubby, because he's Argie and doesn't know how to tango! What a shame!! I'm liking #13! ;-)
I wish I could get my hubby to even contemplate dancing. He says that we have been married long enough, so he doesn’t have to dance anymore! Gotta love him :)
I love these couple lists. It is important to grow and experience new things as a couple. I completed a few of these in my last relationship, hoping to have more experiences such as these in future. I don’t have a choice with Number 18 because I am unable to see and therefore unable to bike any other way.
I have been married almost 17 years and have realized that having new experiences has really kept our relationship strong (& fun). But, there are still so many more things we can do together!
If you’re lucky enough to have a porch (a deck would suffice) this makes an incredible date. My hubby and I (38 years together, 33 married) go out onto the porch in the dark of night, play our favorite songs and slow dance. This is especially fun in the rain.Sure, we’ve been caught by the neighbors once or twice, they’ve never said anything but I bet it makes them wish they had the same experience.
I completely love this idea! It sounds like such a special way to spend a warm summer evening.
Seriously, who has not done all that????????
Fantastic ideas – can’t wait to get started!
The photo for the “Write a love letter” is actually a Chinese letter about a couple deciding to break up because they aren’t fit for each other. Perhaps choose another image :P
Ha! Thanks for the heads up!
You got a long great list of fun activities as a couple. The most important thing is that couple needs to find time to enjoy and have fun. Because it’s a lifelong relationship. Having time together helps build the relationship stronger.
I completely agree that quality time is so important!
Anytime my friend and her fiance try to do anything cute, it always ends in banging. They even did it in my house once?
A big and jolly Merry Christmas all the way from Sweden. I hope you have a blessed day without so many hours online!
