I would consider the egg coffee cup to be overpriced. As a local, it’s not hard to find ingredients in supermarkets and make it yourself while saving one dollar or half of the price.

I see you’re very brave to try ragworm cake and silk worm. Even I’m Vietnamese but at the first time i see those, i was freaked out that haunted me for days. But after my brother tricked me to eat it, it has buttery taste. I recommend you try Bun Cha, Pho Cuon, Cha Ca, Cao Lau next time you visit Vietnam.

I have never saw anyone writing about eating these dishes, and you are very brave to embrace this experience. As a Vietnamese born, I love them.

Wow! Excellent post! I’ve been living in Hanoi for a few months now and I’ve yet to get myself to eat anything ‘wormy’, I didn’t know they came in a patty form, so perhaps I can try this version. Definitely looks more edible than standalone fried worms. :)

Also, in addition to the Rambutan and Dragon fruit, Hanoi is also home to wide range of tropical fruits, if you will be visiting again then you should probably venture to explore all the weird and wonderful fruits the streets have to offer.

Some crazy food options! I have an irrational fear of worms, so no way could I stomach the worm cakes…just the thought makes me shudder!
